As summer rolls in, Valve has officially announced the end date for Counter-Strike 2’s Premier Mode Season 2. Players have until July 14, 2025 to earn the exclusive seasonal medal. This announcement marks the final sprint of a competitive season that began in late January and symbolically wraps up following the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, the last major CS2 event of the first half of the year.
Exclusive Medal at Stake – With Strict Requirements
Just like in Season 1, Valve is rewarding the most dedicated and successful players with a Premier Medal. However, earning it means meeting all three of the following conditions:
- Win at least 25 matches in Premier Mode during Season 2;
- Have a visible CSR (Competitive Skill Rating) at the time the season ends;
- Maintain an active and restriction-free account.
Each medal is personalized based on player performance:
- The color reflects the highest CS rank achieved during the season;
- Bars on the medal (up to 5) show how many sets of 25 wins were secured.
For example, a player with 75 wins will receive a medal with 3 bars, assuming all other conditions are met.
Season Two of Premier ends on July 14th.

To receive your Premier Season Two Medal, you must have 25 Season Two Premier wins and a visible CSR when the Season concludes.
A Season of Notable Changes
Launched on January 25, 2025, Season 2 brought several gameplay and meta updates:
- Train returned to the Active Duty map pool, replacing Vertigo;
- The M4A4 received a price drop, making it a more viable buy during rifle rounds;
- The FAMAS was rebalanced, offering better vertical accuracy and a cheaper price point.
